Our Values: Family
Our studio has a set of 12 values that are the foundation of our work. Continuing with our blog series that highlights each of the values, today we will focus on Family.
“We work in a place where trust and communication create meaningful human relationships. We support each other, we laugh and cry together, we enjoy the challenges of our work together and we appreciate each other. We believe in supporting each other as we grow as humans and as architects.”
Each member of our team brings unique strengths and personalities to our studio. It’s important to us that we take the time to discover each individual’s passions and ideas, and allow space for natural talent to thrive. This is how we create a collaborative and inspiring studio environment to work in. Over the years, Samsel Architects has invested in several programs and resources to support each employee in their growth and development.
Architecture changes and evolves each year and we want our team to stay informed, so we encourage continued education. These opportunities range from local AIA sessions, to national conferences, to meetings with experts about the latest building technologies or products.
We are always grateful for our Samsel family and, as this year is coming to a close, we feel even more appreciative. Like so many others, we’ve had to hurdle the challenge of working from home. Our open office environment made it really easy to communicate, not just about projects, but also about what Netflix show we’re all binging or weekend plans. Even though we can’t see each other in person, we have been able to maintain our communication and continue to create amazing work for our clients.
2020 has been a year of hardship and change but we’ve gotten through thanks to the special relationships we have formed with our coworkers.
