Western North Carolina is facing a long road to recovery in the wake of Hurricane Helene but design professionals have a unique opportunity to contribute to the rebuilding efforts.

MountainTrue, a regional environmental advocacy organization, has launched the Helene Design Pledge – an initiative calling on design professionals across the state and region to donate their time and expertise to help with the rebuilding process. They are looking for architects, engineers, landscape architects, environmental consultants, land planners, surveyors, graphic designers, and more.

Many communities are still in rescue and recovery mode and need time to figure out how, what, and most importantly, where to rebuild for climate resilience. Banking hours now is critical. Our studio is pledging 200 hours a year of donated design time.
